PAV / Distancia figurada
PAV / Figurative distance is the result of a theoretical and practical investigation in which nine Mexican artists, members of the Platform of Production of Visual Arts of the Center of the Arts of San Agustín (CASA) Oaxaca participated, during ten months, until presenting their body of works in La Miscelánea in February of this year.
During that working time, artists met once a month to discuss and initiate a dialogue of visual proposals and methods to solve the problem that each one would approach with his piece.
Through printmaking, video, sculpture, photography and intervention exercises, this circle of artists suggests varied topics such as analyzing negative space as a body of absence, the paradigms of the home and family, long distance journeys, and fragmentation, debris and oblivion.
